Marlene Cimons is a Washington based health and environment writer and frequent contributor to The Washington Post. She previously covered public health, biomedical research policy and food and drug regulation for the Los Angeles Times. Marlene is the recipient of numerous journalism awards, including a Penney-Missouri award and a Pulitzer Prize nomination. When she isn’t writing, she is running (12 marathons), swimming or attending every home game of the University of Maryland women’s basketball team.
